These paintings are a cross between urban pop art, life drawings and a sprinkle of surrealism. I’m fascinated with the conversation between architecture and human development. This is me sitting in cafes watching the world go by, collating sketches from observation then taking that to the canvas and brewing a cocktail community around a theme. I’m preserving the observational element with sketches made from paint markers and fusing them with layers of colour in semi-gloss.
