I love to paint classic rural scenes as I find them soothing and comforting. To me they have an infinite richness that describes the scene and they become a character of your imagination or from your craft. Usually, my scenes include trees as I see them as being almost a character on their own. I also am constantly amazed by the colour of nature and the impact on our moods and sometimes this has what has driven me to paint a particular scene or to use a certain style. I sometimes think that you can create a big picture even on a small canvas because of the power of the scene and colours that I choose to use to tell the story.
