Artwork Description

This painting was inspired by moments of deep calm found along the Mediterranean coast, where warm sunset light meets still water and time seems to slow. I am drawn to scenes that express rest and inner balance — moments when a person is simply present, without urgency.

In Golden Serenity, a woman rests in a hammock overlooking the sea, surrounded by lush hibiscus and Bird of Paradise flowers. These elements frame the scene like a quiet sanctuary, creating a feeling of protection, warmth, and peace. The distant coastal town and glowing horizon reflect the softness of evening light and the gentle rhythm of seaside life.

I used oil paint and expressive 3D texture to build depth in the water, sky, foliage, and sand. The layered surface allows light to interact with the painting, subtly shifting its mood throughout the day.

This work reflects my ongoing exploration of Mediterranean-inspired spaces as places of serenity, emotional balance, and slow living. It is a painting created to be lived with, offering warmth and calm within the home.
