This artwork is inspired by themes of care, protection, and childhood innocence. I wanted to capture a quiet, loving moment between parents and child, transforming bath time into a gentle visual story. Giraffes were chosen for their graceful presence and symbolic association with calmness, guidance, and family connection.

The painting is created using mixed media techniques, combining sculptural texture with layered paint to build depth and tactile interest. Influenced by narrative and whimsical art, I focus on raised surfaces and decorative elements to enhance storytelling and emotional warmth. The refined color palette and ornamental background add elegance while maintaining a playful, child-friendly atmosphere.

Galina Lintz is a self-taught artist whose vibrant oil paintings reflect her deep connection to nature and love of color, texture, and light. With a Ph.D. in chemistry and over 22 years of experience teaching mathematics and science, Galina brings a unique blend of precision and emotion to her art. Her scientific background informs her layered techniques, while her creative vision brings each canvas to life.

After transitioning from teaching to painting full time, Galina has exhibited her work in galleries across the United States, including solo shows at the Jansen Art Center in Washington and ongoing displays at Waikiki Ocean Gallery in Honolulu. Her collectors span the globe.

Galina’s original oil paintings often depict tropical flowers, coastal scenery, and still lifes inspired by her time in Hawaii, the Pacific Northwest, and the French Riviera. Her process often incorporates 3D textures, resin, and fine details to create immersive, emotionally uplifting works.

She currently divides her time between Hawaii, Washington, and Europe, always seeking new inspiration and fresh perspectives.
