Mediterranean Glow is inspired by the timeless beauty of the French Riviera, particularly the coastal town of Antibes, where history, light, and sea come together in quiet harmony. This painting reflects my deep connection to Mediterranean landscapes — their warmth, slow rhythm of life, and luminous sunsets that transform both land and water.

I was inspired by the way evening light moves across the sea and stone walls, casting golden reflections that change from moment to moment. Using rich oil paints and expressive 3D texture, I aimed to capture not only the visual beauty of the coastline, but also its atmosphere — calm, warmth, and a sense of pause.

The layered texture enhances the movement of the water, the softness of the sky, and the vitality of the landscape, allowing light to interact with the surface and bring the scene to life. Mediterranean Glow is a celebration of coastal living, tranquility, and the enduring presence of place — created to be lived with, not just viewed.

Galina Lintz is a self-taught artist whose vibrant oil paintings reflect her deep connection to nature and love of color, texture, and light. With a Ph.D. in chemistry and over 22 years of experience teaching mathematics and science, Galina brings a unique blend of precision and emotion to her art. Her scientific background informs her layered techniques, while her creative vision brings each canvas to life.

After transitioning from teaching to painting full time, Galina has exhibited her work in galleries across the United States, including solo shows at the Jansen Art Center in Washington and ongoing displays at Waikiki Ocean Gallery in Honolulu. Her collectors span the globe.

Galina’s original oil paintings often depict tropical flowers, coastal scenery, and still lifes inspired by her time in Hawaii, the Pacific Northwest, and the French Riviera. Her process often incorporates 3D textures, resin, and fine details to create immersive, emotionally uplifting works.

She currently divides her time between Hawaii, Washington, and Europe, always seeking new inspiration and fresh perspectives.
