Artwork Description

"Smoke signals and paperbarks" - a recent retreat within the Watagans national park inspired this artwork. The forest had been affected by bushfire but regeneration had begun, so it was a beautiful blend of charcoal encrusted trees and new life.
The colours in this piece are burnished browns and umbers, blush, australian grey, white, unbleached titanium, eucalyptus, olive green and raw sienna.

I've used natural mediums like natural sand, sawdust and ceramic stucco textures to add depth, texture and body to the work. it creates a beautiful, organic, earthy feel.

this piece features a wide variation of neutrals and pops of earthy, organic colour that would uplift any interior space.

Signed on the back & front.
