Artwork Description

In my painting, I poured my soul into the canvas, depicting a cathartic journey of release. Swirling hues dance with raw emotion, enveloping figures boldly stepping forward. It's about shedding the past's weight, and embracing change with open arms. Every stroke infuses your space with liberation's vitality, creating an ambience of rejuvenation and an unspoken invitation to embark on your own path to freedom.
I am the son of an artist, and my painting career began in 1998.
My paintings draw inspiration from a broad range of sources. I’m interested in the mystery of our existence, my family, which includes two children, and the stories that life inevitably throws our way.
I was born in Melbourne and spent most of my teenage years in Townsville. I now live with my wife and children in Brisbane, and all these places inspire my images.

My artworks are acrylic on board. They will arrive fully varnished and ready to be framed.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Artist Bio

I grew up in a house that smelled of oil paint, watching my father work without ever being taught. Thirty years on, my paintings stand on loose, accidental grounds, half accident, half intention, made somewhere in the middle where the paint and I meet. That middle is where the series takes its name: The Middle Country. My cockatoos and figures are all one thing, my family, painted over and over in a glowing landscape, with the conviction that real happiness comes from within. Painting full time since 1998, Brisbane, Australia.
