Artwork Description

Living in the northern Illawarra I’m surrounded by bush, beaches and national parks. The Yellow tailed black cockatoos are a staple of the region. Flying between the Coastal Banksias, their call can be heard echoing through the escarpment.

In this work I wanted to capture the beautiful golden hour light; softly illuminating the Banksias and Cockatoo. Whilst contrasting against the brittle lines of the raw, and often harsh Australian bush.
