This is from a series of images of dancers at arts festivals we've attended in central Australia and on our travels around the country. I'm fascinated by the challenge of capturing movement, character and sound in the static plane of a painting. The vibrant yellows of this image seem to contrast with the serious concentraion on the fair-haired girl's face.
