Artwork Description

Reproduction Print on paper

Signed and numbered on the front.

SUBJECT: Pho Queue. Vietnamese soup kitchen. Annerley. Brisbane.
YEAR: 2023.
ABOUT: A studio work based on photos taken when I was drawing the Café O-Mai which is owned by the same family. The Pho Queue opens later in the day. But I figured that if the food was as good as the Café O-Mai, there will be a crowd anxiously waiting for the doors to open, to which end I’ve got a terrorist with a machine gun standing outside the door to keep the unruly crowd in check. I also wanted to get the telecom tower behind the building.
