Artwork Description

On a trip to Scotland (birthplace)
Scottish storms bring rain, wind and darkness, while Australian storms are severe tropical cyclones.
Scotland experiences frequent gale force winds whereas Australia has more diverse storm types.
The loch in question (in my hometown of Castle Douglas) has something of a cinematic feel to it during these episodes and I often used to walk down in heavy rain to capture images of the diffused light. Memories also of childhood.
From the exhibition; HOME/land at Field Trip Gallery, Paddington in October this year 2025
