Rolling thunder and heavy humidity. Wind whipping the dust, rustling the leaves. This work has a matte varnish with the bold brushstrokes finished in gloss. Thunder 2 pairs with Thunder 1 but can be bought and displayed separately.
Light, energy, emotion - I am interested in visual perception and visual sensation. Nature inspired organic shapes and contrasts of colour and texture explore themes of energy and place. Brushstrokes are left raw and immediate recording my presence in the work. Their abstraction invites a collaboration with the viewer to complete a mood or experience that is individual to each person.
