I feel intellectually and emotionally drawn to the process of crafting an objective, yet emotive representation of the real world based on my own scrupulous observations of life. My goal is to create a recognisable, yet enigmatic narrative to allow the viewer to connect it to their own personal feelings and experience.
I am drawn to capturing how the light falls on objects, reflections, transparency, and surface texture. The lush subjects featured, such as plants and fruit, represent my connection to the Australian nature and are all treated generously with paint revealing luminance and transcendence.
