Artwork Description

In each painting I strive to capture the essence of fleeting moments and evoke a sense of exhilaration mixed with nostalgia, prompting the viewer to pause, reflect, and appreciate the little wonders that often go unnoticed. From luscious fruits to delicate flowers, my canvases become portals to a world where time stands still, and colours dance in harmony.
I invite you to dive into my compositions where you’ll uncover layers of intricate details that encourage you to explore and rediscover the familiar.

This painting is completed on the highest quality cotton canvas and framed in natural Tasmanian Oak frame.

Artist Bio

I am a full-time painter living and working in the South West region of Western Australia.
My career in the creative industries spans over two decades, having worked as a fashion and jewellery designer before eventually discovering my passion for fine arts.
In my painting practice the subject is always the light. The light is what fills the artwork with luminosity and a genuine sense of atmosphere. With oil as my primary medium, I build the surfaces of my canvases and wood panels with many layers of paint and glazes. By using multiple layers, I create pieces that are brimming with depth and life.
While rooted in realism, my paintings emanate an enchanting atmosphere that transcends the boundaries of the ordinary. I enjoy manipulating colour and light to enhance the natural beauty of places and objects, infusing them with an otherworldly glow. Allowing the reality and enchantment to co-exist seamlessly is what makes the painting process so magical.
My passion, creativity and imagination have no limits, this is why my art constantly evolves. Afterall, art is a lifetime of learning, experimenting and exploring. As the saying goes, “if you are not growing, you are dying.”
