Natures Dream - 200x100 Large Tropical Abstract Landscape Print. A modern abstract floral landscape canvas print inspired by my love of nature and the happiness being in nature brings me.
Nature is my favourite subject matter and being in nature is my ‘go to’ place for meditation and relaxation. To surround myself with nature is where I feel the most happiest and calmest. So I am drawn to paint this as well.
I have always loved linear dark line work and have added these elements in this artwork. Line work has such a sleek elegance about it. The delicate, simplicity always draws me in.
You may have noticed I have added some birds in here. I am subconsciously drawn to bird art and I do have a few in my own home. I feel it is the freedom that we associate with birds that draws me in. To be free and happy!!
This artwork is capturing memories and moments with colourful abstract flowers, in a happy and yet homely feel. The soft floating organic flower shapes are painted to create movement almost like a light swaying dancing motion which again enhances that overall joy and peacefulness.
Choosing the colours at the start of a piece is an important part of my artistic process and and I love choosing the colours through how I am feeling and what I want the viewer to also feel. It is fascinating how a certain colour can really change a rooms ambiance and feel. Pink is a nurturing, playful, and nostalgic colour that takes people back to their childhoods. Bright and hot pinks are associated with love and romance. Blue can represent rest and can cause the body to produce chemicals that are calming and release feelings of tranquility. Blue is also cooling in nature and helps with balance and self-expression. Blue is a lovely compliment to the seductive pinks and reds in this artwork.
I want this artwork to invoke a playful joy, nostalgia and a lovely calmness within the viewer and the room that is hanging in. Perfect addition for someone who loves being surrounded by nature and to be able to bring the positive essence of nature and its emotions inside into your home.

Amber completed her Bachelor Degree in Visual Communication at the University of South Australia and then moved overseas living and working in London for 7 years.
