Artwork Description

There’s something unapologetically bold about the protea. In Protea Passion, I wanted to honour that strength - not just in the flower itself, but in the feeling it carries.

Rich brown coral petals unfold at the centre of the composition, surrounded by cool turquoise, blue ribbons, soft blush blooms and layers of lush green foliage. The contrast between warmth and calm creates a quiet tension - a dance between fire and serenity. Strong black linework anchors the movement, giving the piece a confident, contemporary edge while still feeling organic and alive.

This painting is inspired by resilience - by the way nature thrives in unexpected places, and by the beauty that comes from standing tall in your own individuality. The protea doesn’t whisper; it exists fully and freely.

Protea Passion brings both energy and grounding to a space. It feels vibrant yet balanced, expressive yet thoughtful - a celebration of colour, growth and inner strength.

Amber draws inspiration from the Australian landscape and its botanical forms. Amber translates elements of the natural world into abstract compositions that focus more on feeling over their representation.

Through layered colour, organic movement and considered placement, Amber aims to create paintings that bring a sense of calm, balance and natural energy into a space. Nature acts as a starting point — a reference for growth, rhythm and softness — while abstraction allows the work to remain open, personal and enduring.

Each piece is created intuitively, with attention to colour formations and harmony. Amber is drawn to how colour can influence and impact a room and how art can anchor an interior, shaping not only how a space looks, but how it feels.

Amber’s work is intended to be lived with — collected for its emotional resonance, longevity and ability to connect the beauty of the natural world with contemporary interiors.
