Choosing the colours at the start of a piece is an important part of my artistic process and and I love choosing the colours through how I am feeling and what I want the viewer to also feel. It is fascinating how a certain colour can really change a rooms ambiance and feel. The colour purple is often used to symbolize creativity, royalty, femininity, and spirituality. In some cases, purple is used to symbolize wealth and extravagence. Blue and teals can represent rest and can cause the body to produce chemicals that are calming and release feelings of tranquility. It is also cooling in nature and helps with balance and self-expression. The teal is a lovely compliment to the seductive purples in this artwork.
