I painted this stunning large water inspired abstract painting in a modern impressionist minimal style. Inspired by the colours in the ocean and glistening sunlight on the waves. A stunning colour palette of oceans blues and warm ochres and yellows in a flowing calming rhythmic pattern, like the way the seas and waves move together in a flowing musical motion.
Choosing the colours at the start of a piece is an important part of my artistic process and and I love choosing the colours through how I am feeling, the seasons we are in and inspiration from nature around me. It is fascinating how a certain colour can really change a rooms ambiance and feel.
Yellow represents sunshine, happiness, and warmth and the colour blue represents both the sky and the sea and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, inspiration, and sensitivity.

Amber completed her Bachelor Degree in Visual Communication at the University of South Australia and then moved overseas living and working in London for 7 years.
