I painted this stunning modern wildflower abstract painting with the inspiration coming from the golden warm and natural colours of our Australian countryside. Our beautiful Australian landscape has such a glow and I love driving out of my town and exploring the walking trails around the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. Especially when the wildflowers come out and are blooming with all their beautiful colours against the lush greens and warm browns of their earthy surroundings.
A stunning colour palette of natures greens and warm oranges, ochres and pops of fuschia pinks and burgundy in a flowing calming rhythmic pattern, as if we are watching a light breeze blow gently around us.
Choosing the colours at the start of a piece is an important part of my artistic process and and I love choosing the colours through how I am feeling, the seasons we are in and what I want the viewer to also feel. It is fascinating how a certain colour can really change a rooms ambiance and feel.
Green can represent new beginnings and growth. It also signifies renewal and abundance. The colour Fuchsia is cheerful, playful, and uplifting. Since the colour gets its name from the purplish-red flower, fuchsia also represents a sense of liveliness, self-assurance, and confidence — just think about how this bright flower stands out boldly among more earthy colours in the garden.
