After a great day at the beach who hasn't looked to the horizon and marveled at nature’s “Encore”? ...a spectacular sunset with colours changing every second... the light dancing across the waves synchronized with the setting sun.
It's a hard act to follow but one I hope I've captured well in my painting “Encore”.
For me the moment was after a great day diving the wrecks of Tangalooma--we witnessed the most spectacular sunset!! It just kept changing with each passing minute, coming back for one more bow, and another -- as though it didn't want to leave the stage...
....that's a great memory!....
Although that is MY memory that inspired the artwork, I like to paint the seascapes in such a way that the painting itself takes YOU to a location and memory specific to you!
Where does "Encore" take you??? would love to hear!!!
Fun Fact: There are very few locations on Australia's east coast where one can enjoy a sunset, and Tangalooma is one of them! If you haven't been, you should go for the day, overnight or for a week. We've done it all!!! And it is remarkable!
DIMENSIONS
This original painting measures 135 x 90 cm with a 40mm edge with the frame being 165 x 129 x 5 cm. Effort has been made to size the image in the rooms proportionately to the furniture.
