One of the most challenging but beautiful things to paint for me is the monochrome and tonal values of the light of the night. When I combine the full moon rising over water, true magic takes place! I love how the light dances on the waves ... it pulls you into the scene almost in a trance staring at its beauty.
I've painted many moonscapes over the years but feel “Full Moon Rising II ” is one of the best I've done!! It has this magical quality that as the room light changes it changes just like a full moon travelling through the night sky. And it has a fanciful glow to it!
What i have tried to paint is the place you remember.. that special moment where you witnessed the full moon over the water whether it be an ocean or a lake!

DIMENSIONS
This original painting measures 140 x 90 cm with a 40mm edge with the ash frame it is 170 x 120 x 5 cm. Effort has been made to size the image in the rooms proportionately to the furniture, however please measure your own furniture to make sure this image is right for your room!

FRAMING
This painting is currently framed with the expensive ash frame and it is essentailly a 'bonus' to the purchase of the painting. However, we recognise that this frame may not suit your taste so we are offering you the choice of having a simple black float frame instead . As you can see... both look great. Just let us know which you want (no further charge) and the painting will arrive framed and ready to hang!z
Note that the there is a slight delay if you choose the float frame as we will have to send to the framers before being sent to you!
