A collection of works examining mainstream decorative design from the nineteen sixties and seventies through a modern lens. The collection explores the ability of simple shapes, forms and colours to facilitate recall of specific memories and emotions. A nostalgia invoking exhibition for the retrophiles!

This work has been painted using artists quality acrylic paints and sealed using a satin varnish for a very slight sheen.

The work has been carefully framed using Tasmanian Oak and has been wired and ready to hang. 3M velcro tabs are available as a removable alternative to a wire - just message me directly to arrange.

Andria Beighton is a Melbourne based artist, currently absorbed in the creation of distinctive, still life paintings with a floral focus. A self taught artist, Andria has developed a unique, meticulously clean and balanced style. Andria’s background in floristry and accessory design are evident in her subject selection and carefully constructed colour palettes. A lifelong love of textile, homewares and architectural design from the 1930’s to 1970’s is explored through her work, lending her paintings their unmistakable nostalgic allure. Her works are held in private collections throughout Australia, the UK and North America.
