ABOUT FIVE FINCHES

Five Finches is a whimsical reflection on the beauty of Australian birds and life in this beautiful country in general. I have placed these delightful finches in a playful way, encapsulated within a beautiful, purple and gold ginger jar.

Five Finches is part of the CHINOISERIE series.

TECHNICAL ASPECTS

Rich, taffy-like layers of acrylic are painted in flattened perspective upon 300 gsm cotton archival paper. Pencil is used for the delicate features, before layers of protective varnish are added.

This work is framed and ready to hang with sturdy D-rings and wire. A layer of UV protective perspex protects the artwork.

I have signed this work on the front, with year and title on the back. A certificate of authenticity accompanies each piece.
