Painted during the pandemic, in a single sitting. It was art therapy for me. The bright, cheerful colours lifted my spirits.

Painted in a naive, mid-century style, it expresses the topsy-turvy nature of life in the modern age.
I wished to convey a sense of chaotic fun, with lots of “movement” in what should be a still life moment.
All the colours of the rainbow contribute to the cheerfulness of this piece. It comes ready to hang, with all sides of the deep-edge canvas painted to flow on from the front image. No need to frame.
Finished in a matte, UV protective finish for many years of enjoyment.
