Artwork Description

This work was inspired by a chinoiserie vase I saw, filled with orchids and glowing prettily on a bright table cloth. The result is this colourful, folk or naive style still life painted alla prima on heavy archival art paper.

The paper was sealed on both sides in acrylic layers to protect the cotton art paper from moisture. Varnish sealed the finished art on the front.

The chosen framing would suit country, cottage, provincial or Hamptons styled interiors.

This piece is sure to add colour and life to your wall.

“Orchids and Lemons” is framed and ready to hang with sturdy D-rings and wire. A layer of glass protects the artwork. Water-proof tape seals the framing at the back.

I have signed this work on the front, with signature, my name, year and title on the back of the frame. A certificate of authenticity accompanies this work.
