"Blue Wren in Pink Bottlebrush"  by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour-gouache painting and requires framing to hang.

This little blue wren, is a Superb Wren, also known as a Fairy Wren, and is part of a mini series. The series features this sweet bird in our garden, in various situations.
Often heard before seen, they have a rather high-pitched chirping sound. Wrens are extremely quick and a flicker of blue, as they come past is always a delight. Here the little Blue Wren is in our Pink Callistemon or Bottlebrush.

Back in the day, many years ago I painted on black quite a lot, and the passion has flourished again.. If you're a lover of sweet little Fairy Wrens, as am I, its always a thrill to see them, whether outside or inside on your wall.

Wrens make a great gift, and this one will come packaged for giving in a supported crystal clear wrap and include a signed certificate of authenticity.

My style is a combination of looseness and detail, allowing watercolour to do its magic and then adding some detail bringing the subject to life.
