This is the sixth in a miniseries of Blue Wrens on an abstract background all the same size at 15cm x 23cm. Dense bush with lots of twigs and dead leaves are another favourite environment for these little beauties. This Superb Wren is all happily perched on a twig, knowing he can quickly hide if confronted by a predator. The background is stylised in a slight abstract way with the colours of the little wren, and twigs intermingling through a process of laying cling film onto the wet paint and lifting when dry.
