Artwork Description

Watercolour on paper

Signed on the front.

"Colourful Natives" is an original watercolour and gouache painting. It measures 28cm x 38cm and is unframed.

At the end of each year I turn to flowers, and I'm not sure why. Reflecting on it, perhaps it because native flowers flourish on their own without too much human intervention. They look beautiful throughout their growing process and then some get cut to sit in our vases. The good thing is, their beauty can last, as they dry well, allowing us to adore them for years to come. Every time I am lucky enough to get some native flowers, I dry them and love them fresh or in their afterlife.

Which ever way you get to enjoy flowers, is great. It gives us the opportunity to look at flowers and appreciate the intricate science that makes them.

I have painted these in a spontaneous stlye without too many brush strokes, aiming to achieve a more organic look. I hope you enjoy them.

The painting will arrive in a supported clear cello wrap that is resealable and include a certificate of authenticity. It will be sent in a flat pack ready to take to framers.
