Artwork Description

Watercolour on paper

Signed on the front.

Native Bouquet by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and requires framing to hang.

Inspired by a bunch of supermarket flowers I knew it was time to paint some. I painted these intuitively without a prior drawing just laying on colour on damp paper. The tricky part was the second layer where I had to make sense of the first. I decided to relax on their form and was not aiming for botanical perfection but for the feel of them. This is the first of a mini series of gorgeous blooms found in the wild.

Mission: I strive to express emotion in my artwork and hope it resonates with you too. I hope that it evokes a positive feeling of joyful peace and that it brightens up a special spot in your home. My style is a combination of looseness and detail, allowing watercolour to do its magic and then adding some detail bringing the subject to life.

Images:  The painting has been professionally scanned depicting the colours as close as possible to the painting. The framed image above is for illustration purposes only as is the in-situ example, where all care is taken for artwork to be proportionally as correct as possible.

Shipping: This painting will be sent in a flat pack and include a signed certificate of authenticity. Sent with Australia Post, fully insured requiring a signature upon receipt.
