"Serenity at the Inlet" by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and requires framing to hang.
Narrawallee Inlet is serene whether the tide is in, out or in between. I have often stood on the timber steps that make their way into the crystal clear water and gazed into the distance. Families love the Inlet as it provides so much pleasure for young children. And when the tide is out, the Soldier crabs come out to play and enjoy their own version of peacefulness.
The Inlet in the painting is shown at mid tide with some of the sand becoming exposed. The steps lead into the sand and water, and Mangrove trees are suggested on the right hand side, sweeping you around the rocky, sandy shore and entry into estuary where the inlet meets the ocean.
Mission: I strive to express emotion in my artwork and hope it resonates with you too. I hope that it evokes a positive feeling of joyful peace and that it brightens up a special spot in your home. My style is a combination of looseness and detail, allowing watercolour to do its magic and then adding some detail bringing the subject to life.
Images: For better online viewing, the painting has been scanned depicting the colours as true as possible, although there can still be some variation depending on your screen. The framed image above is for illustration purposes only.
