Watercolour on paper
Signed on the front.
"Three Chimneys Hillend" by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting.
Hillend is a charming, small historic town renowned for its gold-mining heritage dating back to the 1850s and is located in the Bathurst Region of NSW.
I was particularly drawn to a cottage with its three chimneys, rusty corrugated iron roof, and rickety, broken-down picket fence. The iconic lounge on the front verandah was the icing on the cake.
Mission: I strive to express emotion in my artwork and hope it resonates with you too. I hope that it evokes a positive feeling of joyful peace and that it brightens up a special spot in your home. My style is a combination of looseness and detail, allowing watercolour to do its magic and then adding some detail bringing the subject to life.
