It has plenty of texture to suggest the etching effect of years of flooding. The markings lend themselves to a timeless and yet a modern feel. Joanna Landman is mainly known for her abstract works which tend to lean towards biomorphic forms reminiscent of nature. Self-described as an organic/abstract painter and digital photographer, her works often offer a sense of movement or calmness and yet at other times her paintings depict a certain philosophical symbolism with the use of bold shape and form.
