Foliose

Foliose is a modern painting paying homage to the humble leaf. I wanted the bold silhouette forms to ensure their distinctive shape, as if on display. The dark blue and white tones offers a sense of fresh calmness and connection to nature. My work has gallery edges, 3 coats of satin varnish and it's ready to hang to become a feature.

Joanna Landman is mainly known for her abstract works which tend to lean towards biomorphic forms reminiscent of nature. Self-described as an organic/abstract painter and digital photographer, her works often offer a sense of movement or calmness and yet at other times her paintings depict a certain philosophical symbolism with the use of bold shape and form. In 2016 Joanna established INDIGO Studio/Gallery Melbourne, Australia.
