THE SENTINEL is a conceptual work that symbolically depicts the psychological and spiritual effects that the guardian bestows upon the child in 3 progressive forms. In this work the child ventures into the world with a certain sense of lightness, purpose and self worth.

Joanna Landman is mainly known for her abstract works which tend to lean towards biomorphic forms reminiscent of nature. Self-described as an organic/abstract painter and digital photographer, her works often offer a sense of movement or calmness and yet at other times her paintings depict a certain philosophical symbolism with the use of bold shape and form. In 2016 Joanna established INDIGO Studio/Gallery Melbourne, Australia.
