"The Doorway" is painted on beautiful sanded birch wood, where the wood grain adds a natural textural element to the piece. Inspired by the symbol of "The Doorway", a place where we pass through to different worlds, into new adventures or rediscover ourselves anew. A colourful, geometric hardedge painting with a contemporary feel - "The Doorway" was inspired by my own contemplations on those moments in life where we step away from old paradigms into new ones, and how transformative those moments are although we never realise them at the time.
Painted with matisse flow acrylic paints, on sanded birch, triple satin varnished.
