CoVid isolation

CoVid - has hit so many of us, and isolation has affected us all differently. For me, the initial stages were a very lonely experience. Based on expressionism, I did three preliminary sketches showing the internal world versus the outside world, ending up with this final. Traced onto lino - then cut, to give an expressionistic style. Made around 20 prints. Hand chose 6 successful ones - two black and white ones, and then hand coloured four of the black and white prints with vibrant watercolour in the outside windows. This is editioned - and the first of four, hand coloured prints. Editioned 3/6. Print area 200mm x 150mm, paper area A3, 420mm x 297mm

Hi, I’m Ann - a designer from the vibrant 80s who rediscovered her creative spark in 2020. I dusted off the art smocks, studied Visual Arts, and soon completed diplomas in Photography and Holistic Creative Therapy.

My work blends a carefully curated mix of photography genres - long exposures, architecture, intentional camera movements (ICM), and digital artistry that invites you to create your own story through each image. A lifelong traveller, I chase inspiration across Australia and beyond with my Canon 7D and trusty Toyota campervan. Each road leads to new wonders I capture and share, believing travel fuels creativity and enriches our perspective.
