"I am influenced by Australian landscapes and nature. Some scenes are generated from memories or fleeting moments. This particular scene is Fortescue Bay in Tasmania. At the end of a four day hike we were greeted by this beautiful bay and stunning water. I love to create movement and atmosphere in landscapes to reflect feelings provoked and the intensity in which I scrutinise the colours and forms before me. I heavily abstract using strong and unexpected colour, shapes and lines. I use layers of paint to create texture and depth."

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
My name is Annabelle Brockman and I am an artist, small business owner/operator, mother of two and wife to a cattle farmer (where I help out from time to time!). I live and work in Perth, Western Australia, but spend a lot of time in the Mid West of the state.
I have always loved, and been inspired by, the stunning landscapes and coastline of Western Australia. So naturally my muse is in the realm of nature and the landscapes surrounding me. I love to weave vibrant and earthy colour with expressive brushstrokes to create captivating landscapes. I find endless joy in searching for unexpected colours, shapes and movement in every scene before me. I have a huge appreciation for our natural environment and my hope is that the viewer will feel this same sense of appreciation through my landscapes. I see so much more than a rocky gully or a dry field, there is colour, texture, movement, life and beauty everywhere you look.
My artwork has evolved recently with colour experimentation as the main focus. I would describe my style abstract expressionism if I had to put a name to it. I like to paint mainly in acrylics and oils and all of my work is completed on good quality cotton canvas, ready to hang. See it all on my insta @bellebrock
