Artwork Description

Soft layers of green, sage and blush drift across the canvas, suggesting a quiet landscape seen through memory rather than detail. Loose, expressive brushstrokes create a sense of movement and depth, while gentle tonal shifts evoke early morning light falling across rolling hills. The composition balances calm pastel forms with deeper greens that anchor the piece, inviting the viewer into a tranquil, atmospheric space.

Artist Bio

April is a professional abstract expressionist artist.
Her work is inspired by the relaxed beauty of coastal living on the Gold Coast — the shifting ocean tones, warm light, natural textures, and green hinterland that make a home feel inviting and lived in. Through layered abstract compositions, she creates original artworks designed to bring warmth, softness, and visual balance into contemporary interiors.

Each painting is created intuitively, using texture, movement, and carefully considered colour palettes to evoke a sense of calm and connection.

Her collections are designed with interiors in mind, particularly lounge rooms, open-plan living spaces, bedrooms, and styled homes where art becomes part of the overall atmosphere rather than simply decoration. She loves creating pieces that feel timeless, elevated, and personal — artworks that transform a room while still feeling effortless and natural.

All of her pieces have been made with professional acrylic paint and varnished in a gloss medium. Unless otherwise stated, each piece is professionally framed in Tasmanian Oak, Natural flooded Gum or American Ash.
