These two paintings were inspired by patina. Patina is a thin layer that forms on the surface of some metals like copper through age and exposure. It is produced by oxidation or other chemical processes. I love the colours that are evoked. If you look closely you won't only just see the turquoise and mint colours but also coppers and gold.
