Low Tide

Low Tide is from a visit to the Mornington Peninsula near Blairgowrie. I love painting the water, and of course boats, on those still and calming days that autumn brings. Painted in Acrylic onto canvas with soft pastel colours, this painting is ready to hang as an unframed piece, or add a natural hardwood floating frame by request to myself with a price provided.

I currently live in the leafy eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I grew up on a farm in the beautiful Yarra Valley where my appreciation of nature and the elements developed into the driving force in my art. I have always enjoyed painting. I find it relaxing and like my own form of meditation. I paint with acrylics onto canvas and quite often use a combination of brush and pallet knife in my work.
I love the challenge of trying to interpret the relationships of light and colour in what we see in nature.
