Artwork Description

A dystopian landscape‚ dominated by two huge machines‚ based on the 'Bagger 228'‚ a gigantic excavator used in mining. These enormous vehicles loom above a locomotive and tiny figures‚ workers in a bleak landscape.

This painting is in no way meant to be ideological‚ for or against mining and industry. I was impressed by these machines simply for their size and structure‚ and have created a scene around them. The feel of the painting is slightly 'steampunk' or sci-fi.

The painting is executed in sepia tones.
