This artwork represents tjala tjukurpa (honey ant dreaming). Tjala tjukurpa is a far-reaching story that traverses country in a loop, beginning and ending in South Australia. From South Australia, the honey ant travels north to Kunapula outstation, near Kaltukatjara (Docker River). Kunapula is Beryl's family’s country, and her father and brother also paint this dreaming. Beryl also loves to go hunting for tjala, which are a sweet bush food.
"I learnt to dig, look for honey ants, looking for ants with yellow tail, black and yellow. I found hole, start to clean it with shovel, found hole, and start dig. My mum showed me. My mum showed me everything about bush food, goanna, perentie, emu, maku, turkey, meat and damper, get seeds from the grass."
