Crazy little thoughts constantly floating around your head, relentlessly interrupting. The only way to switch them off and gain focus is to take a deep breath and let them float freely until you have order.
If you can imagine yourself conversing in a conversation whilst taking in the many sensory inputs of your environment, and then all these random thoughts start to frantically swimming around in your mind. Would you be able to cope? Would you be able to focus on the conversation? Follow and answer questions? Or would you want to run and hide, or blurt them out to clear them from your mind?
This is reality for many living with ADHD, ASD, anxiety, OCD and other neurodiverse conditions. It is time we allowed others to be themselves, regardless of the diversity; because this world would be just fish in a bowl if we did!
