Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

A portrait of an Australopithecus skull depicted in simple line as a vintage 1970’s computer generated 3d image.
The title refers to how our sense of identity is being manipulated and represented in a digital format which could potentially become part of our dna as the lines between reality and artificial intelligence becomes burred.
This portrait represents the start of this process. Humankind were already using computer generated imagery to look back to their ancestors through a digital lense in the early 1970’s.
