Wildflowers

Blue and yellow has to be one of my favourite colour combinations, and I wanted this piece to demonstrate just that. It's all about colour -- the marble blue storm clouds rolling behind wild, sunlit golden blooms.

I enjoyed incorporating more texture in this piece than my usual work; I felt it was the best way to highlight the shock of yellow in the wild sunflower, to make them literally pop off the canvas.

18x18" oil on canvas. The edges are painted. Ready to hang.
