Delicately executed through layers and detail, there is always the aim to retell my experience of the uniquely beautiful and diverse Tasmanian landscape. A variety of brushes and palette knifes are used to create rich textures and subtle gradients that seamlessly work to capture the moody ambience of the cooler months.
As I travel along the Tasmanian Heritage Highway I note that the winter rains have sodden the paddocks - a rare sight in the Midlands - which are normally dry and bare. The ominous clouds move along heavily as they make their journey across the sky, slowly turning the pastureland from yellow ocher to green and offering a new kind of beauty to the landscape.
