'Blue Crush' is an original 91 x 91cm (36 x 36 inch) artwork.

Following on from the very popular Sun Glitter series, Bruce explores the interaction of waves breaking on a sandy beach, and the way the sun reflects and glitters off the ocean.

Fascinated by the way that light falls on objects and continuously casts itself throughout the day, 'Blue Crush' implies a feeling of serenity and creates a gentle feeling of freedom and enlightenment.

When making his art, Bruce searches for elements, structure and places that intuitively fit into 'his reality'. This is why Bruce frequently creates imagery full of rhythms, colors, lines and most importantly, motion.

The light shimmering on the ocean was beautiful today - it danced on the waves and skipped along the surface, casting magnificent prisms this way and that, shining with and reflecting a subdued, tremulous light. Gleaming faintly, it appeared to quiver or vibrate whilst forming a wavering image, by specular reflection off the waves.
