My work is all about capturing the essence of a place through rhythm and movement.
‘Off The Beach’ was created on the gorgeous coastline of Western Australia and is part of my Seascapes series. With a jaw-dropping 12,000 kilometres of coastline, it’s no wonder Western Australia has more breathtakingly beautiful beaches than any other state or territory in Australia – many with white sand so pristine, it squeaks. Which is great for getting away from the hustle of every day and relaxing as the waves roll in from the Indian Ocean.
To quote Claude Monet - "These landscapes of water and reflection have become an obsession"
Reflections on water satisfy my obsession for shifting shapes and magical hidden layers and depths. When making my art, I search for elements, structure and places that intuitively fit into 'my reality'. This is why I frequently create imagery that's full of rhythms, colors, lines and most importantly, motion.
I apply some in-camera techniques, looking for shapes and reflections that enroll the use of color, often muted but sometimes bright and garish, to capture the essence of the Australian seascape. This series of artworks create a gentle feeling of freedom and enlightenment.
I’ve always been obsessed with quality and have been printing my work for many years. I love to work with 100% fine art paper that is made for Museum quality artworks.
You will receive a Certificate of Authenticity that guarantees your print is a limited artwork and the number of your piece in the edition.
I hope that when hanging on your wall, this artwork gives you as much enjoyment as I experienced when creating it. Hopefully it will help to create your own unique experience with Nature.
Many thanks for looking at my work.
