I have always been drawn to the mountains. Firstly the Dandenong Ranges and now idyllic Tamborine Mountain in the Gold Coast Hinterland. I love expressing the rugged and unique beauty of Australia's wildflowers, rugged landscapes and amazing birdlife, as well as soulful portraits and even abstracts and experimenting in many different styles from more realistic, to impressionistic styles, depending on the subject and welcome commissions. The rugged beauty of the forest and flora and fauna attracts me, as well as being elevated with magnificent views and moody weather. So much inspiration for me, as an artist. I love painting panoramas, botanicals, rainforests, birds, portraits and abstracts. My talent first astounded my teacher, when I was age 5 and she didn't believe at first that I painted the painting before her. That's when I knew there was something I did well and have loved it ever since and been painting professionally now since 1983. I have won awards and taught privately for over 20 years, been a show judge and guest artist at shows at the Hyatt on the Gold Coast, and then in Brisbane. My paintings now hang in all states of Australia, and in the U.K., U.S.A., South Africa, Canada, Croatia and New Zealand. I want my paintings to either soothe, excite or give joy to the viewer!
