I love depicting the flora and fauna of Australia. Lately I've been wanting to do this in a more abstract way. To this end I've used the colours of the Australian outback, combined with the different shapes found in our natural environment.

A large ghost gum (corymbia aparrerinja) sits majestically in front of a deep ochre rockface in outback Australia.I am always attracted to both eucalypts and light, so this one did it totally for me! These Western Australian mallee eucalypts are just divine and I cannot stop painting them.The striking stripes and patterns of an Australian snow gum (eucalyptus pauciflora) stand out against the early morning mist of the snow fields.The striking colour formations on our alpine species, eucalyptus pauciflora, are very eye catching, especially against the white background when it's been snowing.
